June 18th, Day 1 of Summer Vacation

So my Dad's parents live in Arizona. About maybe 5 times a year my Dad drives my family out to Arizona to visit my grandparents. This trip my Mom couldn't make because she had to work. So it was just the three of us. My sister, Kelcie, my Dad, Ron, and me, Delaney. We were on the road for about 5-6 hours until, finally, we pulled up into the driveway. My grandma impatiently came out of the house from the front door to greet us. We unpacked quickly and headed out the door to eat lunch with my grandparents. My grandpa actually was in a submarine during World War 2.

We walked into the building and found the elevator to get to the second floor. As the four of us walked in his room, we could hear the TV on and the heat was splashing all over us with sweat. We found him sleeping away in his bed. I came over to the side of his bed and shook his arm slightly and he woke up instantly. He got up and sat in his wheelchair waiting for me to push him. We walked down stairs and I wheeled him to his seat where two other World War 2 fighters were waiting. My family, not including grandpa, sat at the table next to him and ate lunch.

We said our goodbyes and went home to relax. The rest of the day we stayed home and relaxed.

Girl's Night!

My friends Mia and Catherine and I had a sleepover. I was so excited! We stayed up till 3:30 in the morning! We watched like two movies and Catherine has two little brothers and we were playing with them, too. We made a fort and watched a few videos on YouTube. We had a dance party and chocolate brownies and pillow fights. It was so much fun! Down below, comment and tell me about one of your sleepovers!

I LOVE my friends Mia, Catherine, Nora, and Makayla. Mia and Catherine are the ones I hang out with the most. They always have my back through DRAMA! I don't know what I'd do without them by my side!

Christmas and a happy new year!

I went to Arizona for Christmas and the New year! I was there to see my grandparents. My sister and I opened our presents together when we got there. During the week we just hung out and spend time with our grandparents. On Wednesday, we all went to IHOP to eat dinner. We had arranged to meet with some people there. The food was delicious! I had the chicken fried steak. Then, on New Year's Eve, we had a big party and several other families came to my grandparents house. We had a blast! We celebrated my grandpa's 91st birthday! Plus, We had so much food to eat! My Dad and I made hot dogs and hamburgers! It was so much fun! But, sadly, we had to leave Arizona and get back home. Happy New Year everyone! I can't believe it is already 2017!

Mr.Dang!

I forget to tell you all about my new fourth grade teacher Mr.Dang! He loves Mine Craft, technology, and he adores pixel art! Mr.Dang even brought in a pixel art bow tie on the first day of school! Mr.Dang is also a perfectionist! He is a very organized person. Which is one thing I like about him. Mr.Dang's family is from Vietnam. His family survived the Vietnam War! There are pictures of his brothers and cousins and the rest of his family on the internet. Mr.Dang wasn't born yet until after his whole family were rescued from a small boat they had managed to get on board. And now he is here teaching my class! Mr.Dang and I have lot's of adventures ahead of us!

Thanksgiving in Arizona!

This is my first Thanksgiving in Arizona! Right now it is only 12:15 pm. Very soon my great uncle Herb will come over and we all are going to watch a football game. Kickoffs at 2:30! My Dad and Grandma have been cooking a whole feast for us all to eat! We have a whole Ham, Turkey, 3 different kinds of mashed potatoes, cookies, cornbread, gravy (to put on the turkey and ham), spiced apples, and my Grandma baked two pumpkin pies for all of us to eat! I am going to be so big and plump after I eat, I won't be able to see my feet!
